Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Set Piece Studio (the "Service"), operated by Chris Gill Ltd (company number 15077527) ("we", "us", "our"), based in the United Kingdom. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Set Piece Studio is a web application that allows football coaches and analysts to design, animate, store, and export set-piece routines.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login details secure. You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the routines, formations, notes, and other content you create in the Service ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of operating the Service for you (e.g. saving your routines, generating exports, rendering thumbnails).

We do not claim ownership over Your Content, and we do not use it for any purpose beyond providing the Service to you.

You're responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any images or content you use with the Service (e.g. for AI-assisted routine capture).

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the Service's underlying code, except as permitted by law
• Use automated means to scrape or extract data from the Service without permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Subscriptions and payment

Set Piece Studio requires an active subscription to use the Service. New accounts start with a 14-day free trial, with no payment method required. During your trial, you have full access to the Service.

After your trial ends, continued use of the Service requires an active paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis via Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you'll retain access until then.

We do not offer refunds or credits for partial billing periods.

If you're a consumer based in the UK or EU, you may ordinarily have a legal right to cancel and receive a refund within 14 days of starting a paid subscription ("cooling-off period"). By choosing to activate a paid subscription and gain immediate access to the Service, you acknowledge and agree that you are waiving this cooling-off right in relation to that subscription. This does not affect any other rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.

If your free trial ends without an active subscription, or a payment fails and isn't resolved, or your subscription is cancelled, your access to the Service will be locked until an active subscription is in place. Your data and content will not be deleted as a result of a lapsed trial, failed payment, or cancellation.

6. Usage limits

To manage service costs and prevent abuse, we apply reasonable usage limits to certain features regardless of subscription status — for example, a monthly cap on AI-assisted routine captures (currently 30 per calendar month per account). We'll make current limits clear within the app, and may adjust them from time to time.

7. Availability and changes to the Service

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, update, or discontinue features of the Service from time to time. We'll aim to give reasonable notice of any material changes that affect your use of the Service.

8. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time via Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, or if we discontinue the Service, with reasonable notice where practicable.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chris Gill Ltd (company number 15077527) will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim, or £50 if you have not yet made a payment (including during your free trial).

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
